Kerbl is investing in the future of Ampfing as a logistics centre
07/10/2026
Since 2009, the logistics centre in Ampfing (Mühldorf district, Bavaria) has formed a key basis for Kerbl’s supply chain. With the continuous expansion of the range and increasing requirements on logistics, the site was first expanded back in 2015.
In 2024, the second major expansion of the logistics centre took place: 29,500 m² of new usable floor space was created on approximately four additional hectares of land. The total logistics site now covers around nine hectares.
At the heart of the site is a new logistics hall featuring office space for logistics management, an automatic pallet warehouse and an automatic shuttle warehouse. Modern order-picking workstations and high-performance conveyor systems support efficient goods flows and optimised processes. Block storage and the parking deck are located in a separate building.
“Pallet and shuttle storage systems help us move goods through the logistics centre more quickly and with greater precision. This benefits our customers in particular, as we can fulfil orders even more quickly and flexibly – from small parts to complete pallets,” explains Maximilian Leinfelder, project manager at Albert Kerbl GmbH.
Operations in the extension commenced on schedule on 24 October 2025. Since then, the new systems have been gradually integrated into existing processes. In this way, the logistics centre is gradually reaching its full capacity. Our promotional film provides further insights into the Ampfing logistics site and its operations.
In doing so, Kerbl is strengthening the Ampfing site whilst also sending a clear signal in favour of long-term growth and Germany as a business location.
