Albert Kerbl GmbH’s topping-out ceremony: another milestone on the road to success
12/09/2024
On 12 September 2024, the time had come: a significant milestone in the construction work was celebrated in Ampfing. Construction is in full swing, as the imposing building already clearly demonstrates. TGW has also begun installing the first racking systems. For Albert Kerbl GmbH, this was the perfect occasion to host a traditional topping-out ceremony.
Around 120 people from various companies involved in the construction project gathered to celebrate the occasion together. Our Managing Director, Albert Kerbl, took the opportunity in his speech to refer to the recent staff party, which was held to mark the company’s 40th anniversary. “This celebration was primarily for our staff,” explained Albert. “Without the dedication of our outstanding staff, the company would not be where it is today.” Making a smooth transition to the occasion of the topping-out ceremony, he added: “We also owe it to the efforts of everyone involved in the construction that we are able to celebrate the progress of the build together today.”
He recalled that the ground-breaking ceremony took place less than a year ago and praised the impressive progress achieved in such a short time thanks to the hard work of the many people involved. He particularly highlighted the work of the site management team from Dywidag, as well as that of the lead designer, who is doing a fantastic job. He looked forward optimistically to the completion of the project, hoping that construction would continue to progress without any accidents.
Dr Adel Shebl, Managing Director of the lead designer Shebl & Partner, and Klaus Fellner, Division Manager at Dywidag, then took the floor. Both expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the construction work and the excellent collaboration with the client. Special thanks were extended to Albert Kerbl, who upholds the tradition of the topping-out ceremony as a mark of appreciation for the work carried out.
As a token of appreciation for the successful collaboration, Dywidag presented the core team at Albert Kerbl GmbH with a special memento: a piece of concrete from the first pour of the floor slab.
Another highlight of the topping-out ceremony was the traditional topping-out speech, delivered by the technicians from Dywidag. This custom, which is intended to bless the building and bring good luck for its completion, was met with loud applause from those present.
After the official proceedings, the participants continued the celebrations in high spirits. Refreshments were well provided for, with roast chicken, roast beef and plenty of drinks.
